Harrow Green Playground
This inspection and report was completed for a developer that had constructed a new playground as part of a new subdivision in the Selwyn District. The project involved a detailed Level 3 playground inspection to ensure compliance with NZS 5828:2015 and surface impact testing of fall zones around all equipment to ensure compliance with EN 1177:2018.
The purpose of the commissioning inspection was to:
– Confirm equipment has been installed as per the requirements of NZS 5828, and the manufacturers instructions.
– Identify any entrapments
– Ensure compliant fall zones, free space, and Free Height of Fall
– Check all playground equipment, paying particular attention for equipment defects
– Identify equipment-specific compliance
– Check the wider site, environment, and ancillary facilities.
