Projects

With experience and expertise across the spectrum of creating, managing and maintaining outdoor spaces, Xyst has had a big impact on communities throughout Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Feel free to browse through the case studies below to find out how we have helped council, local government and other people working in the public sector to find solutions for projects.

Willoughby City Council
The project provided robust, up to date playground asset data, including current condition ratings, accurate locations and remaining useful life. The project provided Willoughby Council with a high quality dataset that ensures effective maintenance, renewal and informed management of their playground portfolio.
Ku-ring-gai Council
This project provided Ku-ring-gai Council with a comprehensive, validated and up-to-date inventory of its parks and recreation assets, improving the accuracy, consistency and completeness of asset data across the portfolio. This supported informed decision-making for maintenance, renewal and capital investment planning, while enhancing compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and Local Government financial reporting requirements. By aligning asset data, condition assessments and valuation information within Council’s asset management systems, Council is now better positioned to manage asset lifecycle risks, forecast future expenditure and undertake future revaluations with confidence.
EnviroTrees
The client has a clear understanding of tree condition, risk, useful life expectancy and works requirements. This supports informed long-term planning and prioritisation of management decisions, while enabling proactive management of tree-related risks.
Tararua District Council
Xyst supported Tararua District Council to transition Dannevirke Campground from a contract for services operations model to in-house management following a Council resolution to do so.
Kāpiti Coast District Council
Xyst worked with Kāpiti Coast District Council to carry out inspections on these recently renewed playgrounds at Matuhi Street and Ferndale Drive Reserves to ensure compliance with the current New Zealand playground safety standards.
Thames Coromandel District Council
Xyst assisted the Council with contract management under NZS3916 to ensure best value.
