Xyst was engaged by the Mackenzie District Council to produce detailed design plans for the next Lakeside Drive Playground in Tekapo.
The design encompasses a selection of play equipment and natural play elements to ensure a wide range of recreational experiences for playground users. Additionally, the design incorporates provision for seating, picnic areas, shade and consideration of the complexities presented by many pre-existing underground services.
The final constructed playground will provide a design that is accessible and inclusive, provide hours of enjoyment, is easily maintained and is minimally intrusive in an area of outstanding visual amenity.
