The Strathconan Pool was identified as non-compliant with New Zealand Pool Water Quality Standards (NZS 5826:2010), with a water turnover exceeding eight hours. The Mackenzie District Council deemed this unacceptable and decided to bring the Fairlie Pools plant up to compliance.
Xyst project managed this work as a variation to the Pool Heating system upgrade with Coombes Aquatics. The upgrade was completed in two stages, the first stage involved upgrading the dosing and circulation system, while the second stage involved re-trenching the pool, increasing the volume of the circulation system, and size of the sand filters. As a result of these upgrades, pool water quality has increased significantly.
