Olivia Conroy

Auditor

Olivia is an outdoors enthusiast who is passionate about using geographical thinking to tackle issues relating to equity, sustainability, and resilience.

Prior to joining Xyst, Olivia worked as an Outdoor Guide, before transitioning to a career in Local Government, and then Open Space planning consulting.

Olivia has experience in developing and implementing community engagement plans, completing gender impact assessments, undertaking asset data collection, and sourcing, compiling, and analysing geospatial data. She has worked on a variety of open space planning projects, including trail strategies, open space strategies, benchmarking and performance assessments, observational studies, and shade audits.

When Olivia is not working on Open Space projects, you can find her rock climbing, surfing, or exploring all of Melbourne’s creeks with her bike.

Olivia brings a unique combination of technical expertise mixed with communication and collaboration skills to her work at Xyst. With experience spanning from geospatial analysis to running community engagement events, she is able to transform data and technical analysis into practical, accessible information.

Her background includes delivering open space and trail strategies, performance assessments, gender impact assessments, and environmental mapping projects for local governments and organisations across Australia.

Having worked in both technical and community-engagement focused roles, she understands how to bridge the gap between data and people. She aims to find the balance between protecting and enhancing biodiversity, while also providing access and amenity.

  • Certificate III & IV – Outdoor Recreation,
